Deadline is Friday, Nov. 2 to have your orders in. Pick up will begin Monday, Nov. 26, in the main foyer. This year’s fundraiser will be used for a new wagon for the playground and books for the school library. Parent-Teacher ConferencesThere will be no school on November 16. Sign up for conference outside the door of the classrooms. Childcare is available during your conference time.Picture DayFor any new families to the school we take the pictures in the front foyer. We generally begin at 8:00 and take kids as they come. If you would like a sibling to be in the picture, you are welcome to stay or if you want to stay with your child, we’ll fit you in as quickly as we can. We are usually done by 10:00. Mr. Halverson will return at 12:30 to take pictures of the children in the afternoon class.Thank you! Mr. Andy has chosen to be at home with his son. You might also see a new face in extended day. Emma Chapman, Ms. Lisa’s daughter, will be helping fill in for the late afternoon program. Extended Day Program Changes Ms. Lisa will be taking over the art sessions for the extended day program. She has extensive experience and talent in art and she is excited to share her passion with the children. They will learn about the elements of design, different tools to create art, different mediums, and art appreciation. We will not be using Performance Fitness for our Thursday fitness for extended day. We’ve opted to plan our own seasonal active games to keep these kids moving! Classroom News All of the classrooms are doing various Halloween art projects and practical life lessons. They are coloring on pumpkins, washing pumpkins, and some are painting pumpkins to take home. We are all watching the huge pumpkin, Mr. Sunny, decompose in the garden. Ms. Kelley’s class is studying space and planets in geography and learning about pumpkins and parts of plants.Mrs. Honey’s and Ms. Cathy’s class is learning about solar system and the difference between plants and animals.Ms. Emily’s class is also learning about the solar system and forms of matter.Ms. Tina’s class is studying the importance of the sun and parts of plants and pumpkins. Ms. Angela’s five year old enrichment class will be doing several community service projects. They will be making treats for the nursery next door. They will walk to U. S. Bank to “cash in” Lukie’s pennies to donate to the Crisis Center. . ................
