The teacher will explain that a habitat is a place where a plant or animal lives. PS.LS.3 Thursday – Sept. 08 The students will draw a picture of his or her home. Under the picture, the students will write or dictate a short, simple sentence describing their home. The teacher will ask questions to encourage students to talk about their pictures: “What color is your house? What is your favorite room in your house (or apartment)?” PK.WR.1 Friday – Sept. 09 The students will create structures out of different materials, such as drinking straws, toothpicks, building blocks and play dough. With students’ input, the teacher will create a chart that shows which structures fall down and which don’t.
