Sending Mail & PackagesMail and packages can be sent through the mail counter located in the Mailroom. You can ship packages using either USPS or UPS. Shipping supplies such as boxes, and padded envelopes are available for free but you will have to pay postage. Our counter staff can walk you through the best way to ship your package. Cash is accepted in the mailroom and you may pay with a card in the business office.Overnight ShippingThere are several things to keep in mind when shipping items overnight:USPS Mail/Packages: All USPS mail and packages are first routed through the Town of Murfreesboro Post Office before coming to the University. Our couriers pick up and drop off mail throughout the day but if your overnight package arrives at the Town of Murfreesboro Post Office after 3:30pm, we may miss it until the next day. If you need to have something shipped overnight, we recommend shipping via overnight services offered by FedEx or UPS. Both of these vendors deliver directly to our mail processing center so the chances of your package getting here on time is greater.Mail Services Hours: Our hours Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00. If your overnight package is delivered when we are not open, your student won’t be able to get the package until the next business day. This includes Sunday deliveries.Shipping Confirmation: Some people get confused when the shipper has confirmed delivery but the student still hasn’t received the item. This is usually because companies alert you when your package has been delivered to Murfreesboro Post office and not campus. We also receive a lot of mail and packages over the course of a day so time for processing is needed. Your student will receive an email notification from us once the package is ready for pickup.SuppliesStamps: $0.55 eachEnvelopes and boxes are free Receiving Mail & PackagesAll mail and packages sent to the university are routed through Mail Services (items cannot be sent directly to a residence hall).
