JOB DESCRIPTION
FIELD SALES EXECUTIVE
Reports to: Manufacturing Manager
Purpose of the Post:
To develop and maintain customer sales within new and existing markets that best utilises existing plant and equipment and advice where investment in new plant and technology can further increase sales in new markets.
Duties to include:
• Arrange meetings with potential customers to win new business
• Acting as contact between the company and its existing and potential markets
• Gaining clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements to ensure presentation appropriate to make a sale
• Creating detailed proposal documents and quotations, technical and commercial.
• Negotiating terms of agreement, price, cost, delivery, completion of sale with approval of line manager
• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via calls and emails
• Representing the company at trade exhibitions and demonstrations
• Market research
• Reviewing own sales performance, to meet or exceed targets set
• Attendance at regular meetings to discuss progress with line manager
• Any other duties compatible with the knowledge and responsibility level of the post.
