|Department: Learner Services |

|Job Title: Learner Financial Support Co-ordinator |

|Responsible to: Client Services and Enrichment Manager |Date: September 2015 |

|Responsible for: Learner Services Assistant (Financial Support) |

|Purpose of job: |

|To supervise student financial support services and Reception service across sites. |

|To maintain records and produce reports relating to student financial support |

|To participate in recruitment and promotional initiatives. |

|To support the overall client services delivery |

|Responsibilities |

| |

|A Student Financial Support |

|To devise, implement, monitor and review the policies, procedures and guidance in operation within student financial support services, in line with |

|government directions, in liaison with the Client Services and Enrichment Manager. |

|To organise and supervise the student financial support function across the College. |

|To ensure that financial support information is delivered during the induction programme across all sites and via all College promotional media. |

|To co-ordinate and supervise the administration of the government learner financial support schemes to ensure that funds are awarded fairly and within the |

|agreed criteria. |

| |

|B Supervisory responsibilities |

|To supervise and monitor the performance of the Learner Services Assistant (Financial Support). |

|To appraise and provide training and support to Learner Services Assistant (Financial Support) |

|To supervise the wider client services team in the absence of the manager and supervisor, including training and support |

| |

|C Reception and Enrolment |

|To assist with Reception service as part of the annual enrolment process as directed by the Client Services Manager. |

|To participate as instructed by the Client Services Manager in learner retention initiatives. |

| |

|D Recording and Reporting |

|To manage and administrate the Learner Support Funds to an auditable standard in line with government guidance, and to monitor and report on the usage of the|

|fund. |

|To produce reports and statistics on the financial support funds as required. |

|To maintain up to date and accurate records and produce reports for tutors and management as required. |

|To develop and implement systems to support the administration of learner financial support, in conjunction with the MIS and ICT team. |

|To support the Guidance Manager to maintain accurate records for all awards in conjunction with Looked After Children |

|E General |

|To safeguard children and vulnerable adults from harm and to report concerns in accordance with the College’s internal referral arrangements. |

|To foster good relationships and advance equality of opportunity between different groups and eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation. |

|To ensure the implementation of Health, Safety and Welfare policies across the College |

|To deal professionally with colleagues and external partners as required. |

|To ensure the confidentiality and security of all the College’s documentation and information. |

|To attend training/refresher courses and meetings as required by the Line Manager |

|To co-operate and take part in the College’s appraisal scheme. |

|To carry out other such appropriate duties that maybe reasonably required to successfully carry out the role. |
