To define the Flint Hill Fire Department (FHFD) firefighter position.

II. DISCUSSION:

A firefighter in the FHFD has the primary responsibilities of providing fire protection and rescue within the department service area. Firefighters are volunteer, part-time, or full-time employees of the fire district. Their duties are the same no matter what their compensation level is.

If a firefighter has the necessary experience, training, and qualifications, they may be required to fill in on a temporary basis for an engineer or lieutenant (commonly known as riding up).
