Mandarin High School Chapter of the National Honor Society

Mandarin High School National Honor SocietySpring 2019 Application and InformationCongratulations! Based on your scholarship, you are being considered for membership in the Mandarin High School chapter of the National Honor Society. Selection to the NHS is a privilege, not a right. You are being asked to provide information that will be used by a committee of faculty members to support your candidacy for membership. Membership is granted to only those students selected by the Faculty Council. This is not an election, nor is membership conveyed simply because you have achieved a specified level of academic performance. NHS is more than just an honor roll. The Mandarin High School chapter strongly emphasizes the other components of the selection process. Those components are leadership, service, and most importantly, character. The Faculty Council will use the portfolios to select students who have demonstrated outstanding performance with regards to leadership, character, and service over their high school career. Therefore, it is extremely important that your portfolio be assembled completely. If your portfolio is not complete, your candidacy for membership will automatically be denied. You must include the following items in the portfolio:A copy of your most recent report card.A current photo of you. All forms entirely completed. The Faculty Council will view either action as no portfolio being submitted. No late portfolios will be considered for membership.
