ACU ranked in top 7% of U.S. higher education institutionsPosted August 17, 2010 Abilene Christian University is one of "America's Best Colleges" for 2010 – so say the editors of Forbes Magazine.Out of more than 6,600 accredited postsecondary institutions eligible for consideration, the editors deemed 610 to be "among the best in the country," according to the new report. Within its rankings, Forbes lists ACU at No. 484.ACU and Pepperdine University are the only two institutions on the list affiliated with the Churches of Christ.Forbes says its rankings are based on "the quality of education they provide, the experiences of the students and how much they achieve," as determined by research compiled by the Center for College Affordability & Productivity (CCAP).The CCAP used 11 factors to compile its rankings, each of which falls into one of five general categories. The single most important criteria:?the degree to which graduates succeed in their chosen professions after they leave school, based on average salaries of graduates reported by ."We are pleased to be recognized by Forbes yet again," says Dr. Phil Schubert, ACU president.
