Level One Certification focuses on warm-up movements and FPTC movements so that they are executed safely and effectively. This two-day workshop will be led by Elizabeth Wirls and Jerry Henderson. In addition to plentiful opportunity to practice warm-ups and the form, there will be sit-down sessions to learn more about fall prevention, tai chi itself, safety factors, teaching skills, working effectively with your respective Agency on Aging (or employer), data collection, and where you go from here in your practice and teaching. There will also be opportunity to practice your teaching skills with role play.

Please BYO lunch, or dine locally - many restaurants in the area. Snacks will be provided.

Schedule/agenda - Monday

? 8:30 to 9:00 - Check-in; sign releases; become acquainted ? 9:00 to 12:30 - Workshop overview; warm-ups, FPTC movements & practice; sit-down

session; mid-morning break

? 12:30 to 1:10 - Break for lunch (about 40 minutes) ? 1:10 to 4:30 - Additional forms practice; sit-down session/discussion; mid-afternoon break

? 9:00 to 12:30 - Review warms-ups and Level One movements; teaching practice (role play) of

Stepwise Progressive Teaching Method; sit-down sessions/discussion; mid-morning break

? 12:30 to 1:10 - Lunch (approximately 40 minutes) ? 1:10 to 4:00 - Forms practice; teaching practice; sit-down sessions/discussion; mid-afternoon

break; awarding of certificates and class photos

? Room clean-up; conclude at approximately 4:30

Workshop Fees - SASH/Agency on Aging-affiliated students may have fees covered by their agencies; please check with them

? Level One certification: $300 ? Level One recertification: $150
