The Cougars hope a return to the road, returns them to their winning ways as they’re 2-1-0-0 in three road games and have won back-to-back games in Portland and Kamloops. Prince George was 23-11-2-0 on the road last season and their 48 points were only behind Regina (59) and Medicine Hat (50).ROAD TRIP: Tonight, kicks-off a stretch of seven straight on the road and this weekend Prince George play three games in two and a half days. This weekend it’s a swing through the WHL’s Central Division, as they head down HWY 2 tomorrow to face Red Deer, before pulling into Calgary on Sunday afternoon. Cholowski is third in team scoring and ninth among WHL defenceman with four goals and nine points, to go along with a plus four rating through eighth games. The Langley, BC, product was selected in the first round, 20th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2016 NHL Draft.The six-game series features regional league teams of Canadian National Junior Team candidates competing against the Russian National Junior Team. For the fourth straight season, the event will open with two games in the WHL, on November 6th and 7th in Moose Jaw and Swift CurrentGAUTHIER GETS THE CALL: Hockey Canada announced rosters for the three Team Canada rosters for the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, and goaltender Taylor Gauthier is one of six goalies picked. Gauthier has appeared in four games with the Cougars, picking up his first WHL win last week against his hometown team, the Calgary Hitmen. In his last two starts Gauthier has a tidy .902 save percentage, to go along with a 2.50 goals-against average. The World Under-17 Hockey Challenge is an eight-team tournament showcasing, the top 16-year-old players in the world.
