The incumbent will actively participate on a project team with Department of Justice (DOJ) technical resources on the creation of new reports and search tools. After the initial implementation, the AGPA will provide on-going support for the CLETS audit processes and any future enhancements. The AGPA will analyze the output of regularly scheduled reports to identify potential compliance issues, and follow-up with agencies as needed. The AGPA interacts with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to DOJ, and represents the program at various meetings.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: This position is directly supervised by the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I.SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time. May be required to lift, carry, or move up to 20 pounds.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Will work in a modular cubicle in a smoke-free environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:35%Serves in the business analyst role in assisting with all CLETS updates for the implementation of AB 1747, including working with Information Technology (IT) staff on the creation of new reports and search tools. Documents business requirements and workflows. Conducts user acceptance testing. Attends all project meetings and providing input on recommendations and decisions. After the initial implementation of the CLETS updates for AB 1747, the incumbent provides on-going support for the new processes and assists with future enhancements as needed.35%Analyzes the output of regularly scheduled reports to identify potential CLETS compliance issues. Conducts audits of agency records to determine if inquiries were made in compliance with the applicable statutory mandates. Prepares correspondence to notify agencies of their findings and work with them on corrective action plans as needed. Works with CJIS partners, including an agency's assigned CLETS Field Representative and/or assigned IT analyst in the CLETS Administration Section.20%Prepares documentation in a variety of media, including PowerPoint slides, live and pre-recorded webinars, and tutorial videos. Facilitates stakeholder communication, sets up user meetings, and solicits feedback. Provides general analytical support to the program operations including, but not limited to: compiles information to respond to press inquiries or requests under the California Public Records Act, and creates templates, procedures, and program website content.10%Develops analytical reports on usage/compliance trends. provides monthly status reports of stakeholder sessions and audit concerns from the various CLETS agencies. Assists in the development, review, and presentation of procedural changes and/or policy recommendations for management.
