30 hour Enhanced Childcare Funding

[pic]

From September, working parents of three and four-year-olds living in England will be entitled to the new 30 hours enhanced childcare offer.

The Childcare Choices website - provides information on the government’s childcare schemes and explains how parents can pre-register or apply. It also includes a childcare calculator to show eligible families how much they could receive.

If your child will be attending Pre-School in September and you wish to apply for the 30 hours free childcare government scheme (subject to eligibility) please can you follow the link below to apply:

You can either apply for Tax-Free Childcare or 30 hours free childcare or sign into your childcare service account here. It's one single application where you can check your eligibility for both.

To receive the extended entitlement funding in September all 11 digit codes must be validated by 31 August 2017

A parent will receive an 11 digit code through the Digital Childcare Service when they are found to be eligible for the extended entitlement by HMRC. Parents take this code to their chosen provider who must validate it with Devon County Council before a place can be confirmed.

We have been selected to receive funding from the Co-op Local Community Fund. It means that we will get a contribution towards our planned improvements to the outdoor play area. But we need your help. The more support we get, the more funding we could receive. So if you're a Co-op Member log in to your Co-op Membership account and choose us. If you're not a member, please join and support us!

PLEASE REGISTER US AS YOUR CHOSEN CHARITY - Every time members choose Co-op branded products and services and use their Co-op Membership card (subject to Membership T&Cs) 1% of what you spend will go to your chosen cause Co-op Membership account

Cross Roads Petrol Station, Elburton and Newton Ferrers Co-op Food stores are all supporting our fundraising cause - information is now on display in store.

PLEASE HELP – tell your family, friends and neighbours! We really appreciate your help!

FUNDS RAISED

We would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone that supported and helped us raise the fantastic amount of £800 at our FAMILY DOG SHOW.

Just to remind everyone that you can help Wembury Pre-School raise money with every online shopping purchase you make and it will not cost you a penny more. It’s simple, you just need to log on to .uk, register to Wembury Pre-School, find your chosen retailer and start shopping.

Fees

The fee for each child is currently £4.00 per hour (i.e. £10.00 per 2 ½ hour session). This applies to both funded and non-funded children i.e. less than 3 years of age, and funded children if their funded sessions are used or are used at another playgroup (funding is available from the term following their third birthday). Please note that lunch sessions are now charged at the same rates.

School Lunch Tickets

We will be selling our own blue tickets for hot school lunches (a menu has already been sent home for this term), available in books of 5 tickets at a price of £11.00 per book.

BREAKFAST CLUB

We are now offering an ad-hoc service.

All ad-hoc bookings will need to be paid for on the day attending in cash, unless arrangements have been made with Jane/Sam for sessions to be billed.

Charges are:

8.30am – 9am £2

8.45am – 9am £1

Bookings can be made in person or over the phone on 863472. If you book by email please ensure that you get a confirmation reply.

Parent/Staff Meetings – W/C 10th July

Please note that Parent Meetings will be arranged at the end of every term to discuss your child’s progress, however, parents should feel free to ask to meet with their child’s Key worker at any time to discuss their child’s progress or any concerns that they may have, including health or behavioural issues. Please note that Claire Ward is our SENCO Co-coordinator (Special Needs). Should you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact her.

WATER BOTTLES [pic]

PLEASE CAN YOU ENSURE THAT YOU BRING IN A LABELLED WATER BOTTLE EACH DAY THAT YOU CHILD ATTENDS IN ORDER THAT YOUR CHILD MAY HAVE ACCESS TO A DRINK THROUGH OUT EACH SESSION. FOLLOWING NEW ADVICE WE WILL BE OPERATING A ROLLING SNACK TIME, WITH MILK BEING THE ONLY DRINK OFFERED.

Uniform/Labelling/Lunch Boxes

Can parents, please ensure that their children wear the Pre-School uniform to all sessions, and that all clothing (including T-shirts, sweatshirts, coats, hats etc.) and lunchboxes, are clearly labelled with your child’s name. If you have written names on uniforms using ballpoint please ensure that the writing remains legible. If your child’s lunch box contains yogurts, meat sandwiches, jelly etc. please enclose an ice pack in hot weather to keep contents cool. Thank-you.

***Uniform***

There are an increasing number of children coming into Pre-School without school uniform. We ask that a uniform is worn to enable us to identify children easily and ensure that when we go off site to visit the school or onto the school field we can ensure their safety. This in turn makes the children feel safe and secure and part of Pre-School.

Uniform requirements: Red T-Shirts with logo

Red Sweatshirts with logo

Red /White gingham summer dressers (or top and skirt)

We have t-shirts (£5) and sweatshirts (£9) available from the office and dresses are available from most supermarkets and school uniform outlets.

NAPPIES/PULL UPS

If your child wears nappies/pull ups can you please ensure that you provide us with enough for each session. We do not supply these. You may also wish to make available a change of clothes in case of accidents. Thank-you

We have a new suggestion Box in the lobby. Please feel free to make us aware of any ideas that you may have or comments.
