Read each one with your child. Have your child use each word in their own sentence. Oral activity.Read page 44-45. Discuss reading comprehension strategy – using details from the story or what you already know to make conclusions about what they read. Video tape your child reading the story if possible. Practice fluency and natural pauses after a sentence. Read paired selection “The Ugly Duckling” p. 70-73. Discuss p.74 with a grown up or older sibling and compare the two reading selections for this week.
