Position Description:The Finance Manager is a fulltime, exempt, position that provides financial leadership and management to support the sustainability of WCYFS, programs and program funding. This position is responsible for providing leadership, finance operations, risk management, and assisting with budget development and oversight and collaborates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The Finance Manager reports directly to the Controller and oversees finance specialist(s). The responsibilities of this position are key to ensuring fiscal accountability and compliance between WCYFS and funding agents. Responsibilities:Leadership – 10%Provides leadership to WCYFS to support sustainability of programs and program funding, including but not limited to, facilitating conversations, scheduling meetings, and coordinating program and office operations with executive leadership, Board of Directors, Program Managers/Coordinators and other team members, and a variety of community partners. Finance Operations & Risk ManagementManages the accounting operations of the organization including, but not limited to, budgeting, auditing, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal policies and procedures.Develop and maintain processes and procedures (internal controls), as necessary, to ensure funder compliance including, but not limited to, segregation of duties, checks & balances, cost allocation plans, asset inventories and tracking logs, etc. Ensure and execute timely and accurate accounting processes including, but not limited to, payroll, accounts payables, accounts receivables, reimbursements, invoicing, etc. Assures compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies in the areas of nonprofit management and ensures fiscal compliance with all regulations affecting grants and government contracts. Collaborate with internal and external fiscal partners to maintain fiscal compliance including, but not limited to, fiscal annual audit, grant audit and monitoring, funder reporting, and tax preparations, etc. Budget Development & OversightAssists the Controller to develop budgets for short- and long-term projects, programs and projections including, but not limited to, reviewing historical data and trends, collaborating with program managers, regular reconciliation, making modifications, etc. Analyze and present internal and external financial reports, as necessary; reports may include budget projects & year-to-date comparisons, balance sheets, profit & loss, statement of cash flow, and other funder-specific forms. Office Administration/Other – 10% Works directly with executive leadership, programs, and operations to maintain effective office and building operations. Job QualificationsMust support WCYFS mission and be dedicated to eliminating domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and youth homelessness, in addition to supporting the fundamental values of both feminism and the social work profession, including the worth, dignity, and uniqueness of all persons as well as their rights and opportunities.Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.Six years of financial management experience preferably with nonprofit agencies.Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Ability to productively work both autonomously and as a team member.Excellence in writing and editing abilities.Experience with a variety of online applications and databases, such as Microsoft Office and Office 365, Donor Perfect, Constant Contact, and Apricot.Ability to effectively communicate and work with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, government partners, community and individual supporters, executive leadership, and Board of Directors.
