We support entrepreneurs across the UK through our unique national network of Entrepreneur Engagement Managers (EEMs) based across 11 key regional clusters.The Digital Business AcademyTech Nation has an opportunity to create a series of bitesize online courses on ‘Impact Entrepreneurship’. We would like to work with a partner with specialist expertise in the impact entrepreneurship/ tech for good sector to create the courses. The courses will be hosted on the Digital Business Academy (DBA). The DBA is a free, online learning platform for startup skills. With 30,600 registered learners, the academy offers users 84 free courses, covering topics such as marketing, brand, communications, sales, product, operations, people and finance. RequirementsWe are looking for a series of 6 x 10-15 minute courses (one complete ‘Skill’) on impact entrepreneurship/ tech for good. The courses should be pitched at an introductory level to help anyone, of any age from 16 upwards, to start a tech for good/ impact led tech company or build their knowledge and understanding of the sector. They should include:A blend of theory, models, stories and tips from a diverse range of founders of real inspiring companies solving problems in a range of contextsA mixture of text, video and images3 x quiz questions at the end of each course. Learners will ‘complete’ each course by answering the questionsExamples from UK based companies but be region-agnostic enough to be relevant internationallyThe learner experience should look and feel similar to existing DBA ‘Skills’. This is an example of one existing skill, ‘Manage a Digital Product’, made up of 4 courses:Course 1: Building a product visionCourse 2: Making a basic product to testCourse 3: Testing your product with real customersCourse 4: Improving your productTech Nation will do the final build of the courses using the Evolve authoring tool. The selected content partner would therefore need to provide content in document format and share original video and image files.TimelinePlease send a short proposal using the below template to edwillis@technation.io by 12 March 2020. Please include some suggested topics, example content and a quote for the work. As part of the selection process we may ask bidders to make a presentation of their proposal the week of 16 March. We will make a decision the week of 23 March in order for our chosen provider to begin work in April. However, failure to communicate may jeopardise future invitations to tender.3.The Tenderer may not alter this document. Any proposed alteration is to be given in a separate letter accompanying the tender.4.Tenders may be rejected if any of the requested information is not supplied with the tender or if the submission fails to comply with Tech Nation’s request.5.The date and time for return of tenders is shown on the Invitation Letter. Tenders will be received up to the time and date stated. It is the Tenderers responsibility to ensure that their tender is received on time. Tech Nation does not undertake to consider any tender received after that time unless there is sufficient evidence to pre-suppose its due delivery.6.Tech Nation does not acknowledge receipt of tender documents and accepts no responsibility for loss or non-receipt of applications.7.Tech Nation expressly reserves the right not to award any contract as a result of this procurement process and it shall not be liable for any costs incurred by Tenderers. Tech Nation also reserves the right to accept all or any part of a tender.8.Any indication of costs (estimates at this stage) must be shown inclusive of VAT.9.The Tenderer must not try to obtain any information about any other party’s tender or proposed tender before the contract is awarded.10.The Tenderer must not arrange with any other party the submission of a tender, except in the circumstances where consortia, sub-contracting and/or joint ventures are applicable.11.Where invoices will be rendered by, or payments made to, an entity whose title differs in any respect from the title in which the tender is submitted, full details must be provided in a letter accompanying the tender.
