This program prepares students for entry-level employment in a pharmacy setting. It introduces students to the roles and responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician in the retail, hospital, and institutional settings, as well as professional liability and ethics.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years of age or older Theft or drug related misdemeanors or felony may disqualify you for the State

Certification Process Valid State of Texas ID or

Driver's License High School Diploma or GED

Social Security Card

Financial Sponsorships Available

Consideration is given to the fundamentals of emergencies, infection control, record keeping, safety and hazardous materials, trade and generic medication and aseptic techniques.

Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive a certificate of completion and may be eligible to apply to the State Board of Pharmacy for registration and may be eligible to test for the national certification exam.

Total Program Hours: 736

(includes 200 hour externship)
