1. SMART ( or smart-) or Promethean () electronic boards to project Power Point slide shows, Word documents, scanned workbook exercises, etc.

2. Redcat® (lightspeed-) amplification system to make students’ soft or indistinct voices more audible to the teacher during read-alouds. This helps immensely with monitoring fluency.

3. iPads or iPhones or other smart phones to send and receive emails, attachments, or short assignments, look up words from dictionary websites (Merriam-, ), answer grammar questions, use applications from Words to Learn By, Nearpod (), etc.

4. Power Point to create slide shows for introducing new vocabulary words or reviewing taught Fry’s Instant and Tier Two words.

5. Word to create practice exercises & worksheets, quadrant charts, graphic organizers, essays, quizzes, puzzles, readers’ theater scripts, etc.

6. Word and overhead projector to model and guide vocabulary fill in the blank, sentence completion, or comprehension strategies.
