The devil is attacking our togetherness as a churchless gathering on a Sunday morningincreasing number of people with more serious / more long term issuesThree things we know about the devil:he is opposed to God, opposed to God’s people, opposed to God’s Kingdom advancinghe is our enemy - “The Bible says that the Christian life isn’t like a battle... it is a battle!!”he schemes - ‘... in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.’ (2 Cor 2:11)The Worldwill always try and pull us away or get us travelling in a direction that’s takes us away from God and away from being with His peopleThe Flesheasy to get out of the habit of going on Sunday or Life Groupit’s always seeking to put us on the throne of our lives and not Jesus on the throne of our livesTwo Prophetic wordsDan’s Wordfeeling tired opened his bible and read about there being ‘special bread in the temple’ as we gather on Sunday morningreminded we have an enemy and we are in a battleJesus reading the scroll stating what the Messiah came to do[16] He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, [17] and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: [18] “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, [19] to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” [20] Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. [21] He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:16-21)the devil has been actively seeking to imprison the very people in this church that Jesus has set freeJenny’s Word“I saw a huge tree, like an oak, with spreading branches and thick with green leaves.? Under the tree were people from the church with their hands lifted up as in? prayer. Occasionally someone would climb down from the tree and join those under the tree in prayer.“Suddenly a strong wind blew the leaves from off the tree and I saw cages, like parrot cages, containing people. The cages were locked and had names on - chronic illness, mental illness, depression, fear, etc... Circling above the tree were huge black birds with flapping wings.“The Lord said that a change was going to come and He was going to blow on the church with the wind of the Spirit and give us a special?healing anointing. “I saw locks opening on the cages and people coming down from the tree. (I realised afterwards that the birds were then imprisoned in the cages the people had been held captive in). The wind blew and the tree once again began to grow new leaves.“The Lord said He was preparing a table for us to feast on and I saw a huge table with great big ladle sized spoons and we were told not to?hold back but eat until we were full.? “The bowls had names on - the fruit of the Spirit, ministry gifts, in particular healings of all kinds both physical and spiritual.?The table had 4 legs: prayer, commitment, dedication and obedience.?The Lord said that people would flock to the church as they heard of the healings that would take place.”My overall feeling about this word is that we are to take back what the enemy has stolen from us. The Lord is blessing us with an anointing but the devil is not going to stand back and let us just take it. We need to sharpen our swords and check our spiritual armour and prepare for battle.?Four Legsdescribes where we arecontains a promise from God about releasing His a Spirit to set people free and anoint us to be involvedexplains what we must do and give ourselves to if we want to see this come abouta) Committed - ‘Pledged or bound to a certain course or policy.
