Students will receive Home Learning daily. Home Learning will consist of reading and language arts activities related to the skills taught in class. Your child’s Social Studies home Learning will vary (study guides, projects). Projects will be assigned throughout the year.* Please note assignment(s) may change, but students will have their homework assignments written in their daily agenda. Parents please take some time to check your child’s agenda daily to verify homework. 1. Students are responsible for copying their Home-Learning assignments in their agenda every morning. It is expected that Home-Learning be done nightly and returned the following day. Home work is checked daily and we keep track of their complete/incomplete homework with a homework log.2. Home-learning must be completed entirely, neatly, and in the student’s handwriting in order to receive full credit. Homework will not be accepted if it does not meet these requirements. 3. If a student is absent, they are still responsible for completing the homework for that day as best they can and bring it when they return to class.4. If Home-Learning is lost, the student is responsible for finding out what the assignment was and completing it.5. FOUR missed or incomplete home-learning assignments will result in a detention. Detentions will be served only in the mornings before school begins. If you cannot bring your child before school begins he/she will serve their detention during a special area class. 6. THREE detentions or more in any given nine week period will result in the student not attending field trips or school functions.7. Special projects will be assigned periodically throughout the year and must be completed in the student’s handwriting.4333875107950020764502032100I have read over the important information regarding home learning with my child and we understand the third grade home learning policy._____________________________ _____________________________ Parent/Guardian Signature Student NamePlease return this form to your child’s HOMEROOM TEACHER.*Only complete if a sibling who attends Somerset Silver Palms will be picking up their sibling during dismissal.*Sólo se completa si un hermano que es estudiante de Somerset Silver Palms va a recoger a su hermano/a después de la salida.Authorization for Sibling Pick-Up/Release FormDear Teachers and Administrators:I, ________________________________, grant permission for my older child, _______________________________, who is _______ years old and attends school at Somerset Academy Silver Palms to pick up their sibling, __________________________________ who is __________ years old and is in the 4th grade at Somerset Academy Silver Palms.I understand that neither Somerset Academy Preparatory School, Somerset Silver Palms Charter School, and Somerset High School nor the faculty and staff are liable in the event of an accident or injury to my son or daughter before school or after school.
