The CARES Act allows for HSA and FSA funds to be used for OTC items without a prescription, including menstrual products and items needed for quarantine or social distancing. Here is a list of eligible expenses.2019 HSA contribution deadline extended to July 15, 2020. The Internal Revenue Service has extended the deadline for HSA contributions for the 2019 tax year to July 15, 2020. 2019 Health Care and Dependent Care FSA claims submission extended to May 15th. The Lurie Children’s Health Care FSA submission deadline has been extended to May 15th. If you have eligible expenses that were incurred prior to January 1, 2020, you can submit claims for reimbursement to WageWorks by May 15th. Any claims that were denied due to late submission after March 31st will need to be re-submitted.2020 Dependent Care FSA Elections Adjustments. A substantial change in the cost/need for child care provides a qualifying event that allows you to update your 2020 DC-FSA allowance. We are working with bswift and WageWorks to confirm a process to allow for these updates, and employees currently enrolled in this program will receive more information as soon as available.Bright Horizons Crisis Care. In-home Backup Child Care and/or Crisis Care is available through the Back-Up Care mobile app. Crisis Care provides a reimbursement of $100 per day for child care services provided through your personal network (family, friend, neighbor, etc). You can quickly and easily submit Crisis Care reservations right from your mobile device after an on-screen prompt describing the service.
