**SPECIAL NOTE** 1. All coursework counted in the Public Health major requires a grade of C or higher. 2. In addition to the coursework below, the Public Health major requires completion of a minor or second major. 3. A 2000-level or above Statistics course is strongly recommended, either as part of or in addition to completion of General Education

requirements. 4. No courses may overlap between major, minor, or General Education requirements.

What if the class I want is full? Your academic advisor cannot get you into a class if it is full. These are your options: 1. Contact the department that houses the course you want to get into. 2. Go to the course the first day of class. Try to speak with the instructor about a possible wait list or getting added to the course. It is up

to the instructor if they will assist you with adding the class. 3. Wait for a spot to open up during the drop/add period, which ends Monday, January 11, at 11:59pm

Note: GIS 4421 GIS and Health will not be offered in Spring 2021.

**Any of the approved GIS courses may be used to meet the 3 hours core requirement. GIS courses which meet the core requirement may not be used as major elective coursework

Substitutionary Courses For the Spring 2021 semester: GIS 4330 Florida GIS Applications may substitute to meet the GIS major requirement. As a substitution for a core class, it cannot be used to towards major elective hours.

Elective Courses

Elective coursework must come from at least two separate departments as listed. Courses used to satisfy General Education or minor requirements cannot be used as Public Health electives.
