Basic Classroom Guidelines

1. After the first week of class always bring your makeup kit, additional supplies as needed, facial cleaning supplies including a washcloth and towel for your station

2. Always bring paper and a pencil/pen along with your handouts and lab assignments in a notebook.

3. On Lab days, come to class with a clean face, no makeup or facial hair and prepared to pull your hair out of your face including your forehead (head band and/or ponytail holder – guys too!)

4. Failure to completely clean up your area at the end of the day will result in a loss of total points for the lab involved. This includes the sink & surrounding floor.

5. Never share makeup & always clean your brushes/sponges at end of class.

6. Class instruction or LAB starts promptly at 9:35 and 3:05. You are expected to be ready to start (area set up/face washed/hair pulled back/apron or smock on) at that time. Be sure to set up all supplies on a towel in your work area so you are ready to begin 5 minutes after the beginning of class.

Special Circumstances

If you need additional time to complete a test or if you require any special accommodations, you must notify the instructor in a timely manner. Otherwise, you will be expected to adhere to the information included in this course syllabus.

Academic Integrity

Dishonesty in any form harms the individual, other students, and the School of Theatre. Therefore, USC policies on academic integrity will be enforced in this course. Papers (designs) suspected of containing plagiarized material (the unacknowledged or inappropriate use of another’s ideas, wording, or images) will be verified for authenticity by the School of Theatre through internet services. I expect you to familiarize yourself with the academic integrity guidelines found in the current SCampus (usc.edu/dept/publications/scampus).

Disability Services

Any student requesting academic accommodations based on a disability is required to register with Disability Services and Programs (DSP) each semester. A letter of verification for approved accommodations can be obtained from DSP. Please be sure the letter is delivered to me as early in the semester as possible. DSP is located in STU 301 and is open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The phone number for DSP is 213-740-0776
