Lapp Kabel presents new product catalogue for renewable energy

The Stuttgart-based Lapp Group is continuing to strengthen its market position in the renewable energy sector with its innovative ‘green’ products. The company is presenting its new 72-page special catalogue, "The Green World of Lapp" – with perfect timing for the Intersolar Europe trade fair (9 to 11 June 2010, Hall C4, stand 559). The catalogue offers a full overview of the comprehensive range for the solar, wind and biogas sectors.
The diverse range for the photovoltaic sector is presented under the brand names ÖLFLEX® SOLAR and EPIC® SOLAR. All cables are UV-resistant and are characterised by a high level of resistance to the weather and temperature. Particular highlights include the fascinating electron beam cross-linked ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XLR with its thermal (-40 to +120°C) and mechanical resistance and the innovative and patented EPIC® SOLAR 4 Thin, which achieves optimal energy efficiency thanks to its minimal contact resistance of less than 0.2m Ohm.
There is also an extensive range products for wind turbine manufacturers throughout the world. The ÖLFLEX® TORSION FRNC was designed especially for use in the cable loop between the rotating nacelle and the static tower section. It turns up to +/-150 degrees per metre to compensate reliably for the continuous torsional movement. Or there is the ÖLFLEX® FORTIS, characterised by a very wide temperature range of -55°C to +105°C and with UL WTTC (Wind Turbine Tray Cable) listing as per the UL 2277 standard, as required for the North American wind energy market. As such, it fulfils the new UL 6140 outline for accessible wind turbines.
Lapp offers special ÖFLEX® ROBUST cables that have a particularly high mechanical and chemical resistance to reliably operate biogas plants. Oils, fats, waxes of plant, animal or synthetic origin or their emulsions, and temperatures of around 40 degrees in the slurry tank cannot harm them.
