POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Staffing Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: Oversee the selection process and sourcing of suited candidates for all open positions at the non-exempt and professional, administrative levels. Assist with International professional staffing projects as needed. Assist local Plant Managers as needed on recruiting for their facility. Assist the HR Director and Sr. HR Manager as needed with other projects and assignments as assigned.

SOURCE OF DIRECTION: Director of Human Resources

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Develop network with other professionals and professional groups as potential sources of candidates for future search projects as well as for benchmarking best practices.

2. Develop a spreadsheet indicating title of open position, recruiters engaged, names of submitted candidates, status of each candidate, dates submitted by recruiter, date interviewed and by whom, etc.

3. Track metrics on: time to fill, cycle time for response from hiring manager after candidate was submitted to them for review, Quality of candidates from each recruiter, number of suited candidates submitted by each recruiter or other source.

4. Bring in search consultants from engaged search firms to meet with the Hiring Manager and the Sr. Management Team, get to know our culture the area and our general expectations of candidate attributes.

5. Develop and maintain a High Potential Candidate file. Create a process to trigger reconnect opportunities with HiPot candidates such as birthdays, special events, holidays, etc.

6. Utilize social media to enhance our effective reach for suited candidates. Utilize National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) network, LinkedIn and the professional LinkedIn subgroups, targeted job boards to source candidates to post open positions.

7. Administer proper and timely correspondence/communications with candidates as appropriate.

8. Coordinate and administer all college recruiting activities including relationships with Career Services Offices, career fairs, on-campus interviews, technical presentations to engineering students, other contact points to market the Dwyer Brand at the target Universities.

9. Coordinate interview schedules and books travel itineraries for candidates and selected participants with Dwyer.

10. Coordinate tours of the local NW IN area and provide valued sources of information for the candidate and their spouse as appropriate.

11. Administer the Sales Drive and Psych Profile Assessment processes between candidates and the providers of those services.

12. Administer the On boarding process to include general policies and procedures orientation. Coordinate with the hiring manager for ordering business cards, getting new hire’s office space and computer resources set up and in place before start date.

13. Provide higher protocol of services for the higher levels of professional/management positions such as nicer hotels, full size rental cars, flowers in the hotel room, etc. and as appropriate.

14. Attend to the lobby marquee for welcoming candidates or guests.

15. Develop promotional materials and techniques to improve our effectiveness in attract suited candidates.

16. Monitor external sources to assess and determine our competitiveness for top talent. Examples include wage & benefit surveys, best practices for recruiting, etc.

17. Provides timely and quality services and support to all internal and external customers. Independently seeks and identifies problems and constraints blocking progress toward these objectives. Consistently develops creative and effective solutions to those opportunities.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources or management related required plus 5 years successful experience as a Professional Recruiter or Staffing Specialist in a multi-facility manufacturing company required. Excellent organization and communication skills required. Must be self disciplined with a high drive level for completing assignments and delivering excellent results. Proven success in developing and maintaining strong relationships with effective search firms required. Experience with recruiting and selection administration for all levels within the organization required. International staffing experience a plus. Capability of assisting with other HR projects beyond staffing required.
