Welcome to Kindergarten Enrichment

Welcome to Kindergarten Enrichment!

My name is Jackie Revels and I am the Enrichment Director here at Hancock Park School. Welcome to Fall Enrichment!

A note to the parents:

The After School Enrichment Program started in 1989 as a way of providing extra-curricular activities for students. Since then, it has become best known for providing fun-filled, educational classes to both present and alumni students of Hancock Park School. The cost for classes then, and still is, $55 (except for those that require a materials fee). Tuition costs have not changed since it began 15 years ago. The Booster Club sponsors this program and encourages all children at Hancock Park to experience its’ benefits.

Registration

Registration is easy. Simply fill out the attached enrollment form along with your check or money order; payable to the Hancock Park Booster Club and drop it in the Drop Box located in the main office. Forms may be turned in through your child’s teacher; however, this may cause a delay in me getting them for they are not always turned in right away. The Drop Box will be in the office from Tuesday, September 21st, 2004 to Friday October 1, 2004. Please adhere to office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I will be in my office from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily for those parents who are unable to get to the office before it closes. My office is in room 6, which is located, just adjacent to the main office. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me. My phone number is 323-633-4721 or 323- 732-3797. If you are unable to reach me, please leave a detailed message and I will return your call as soon as possible.

Class Size

Enrollment in a class is on a first come, first serve basis. In order to ensure that your child receives the highest benefit from a class, enrollment in most classes can be no more than 12, others may have as many as 16. There must be at least 10 students enrolled to open a class. If you do not receive a phone call from me, your child has been successfully enrolled in their desired class. I will inform you if your child has been placed on a waiting list if he/she did not get into their desired class. If there are classes with fewer than 10 students registered, those classes will be cancelled. So get your registration forms in right away!

Tuition

All classes start at $55.00 except for those that requires a materials fee. The materials fees vary according to need. All materials fees have been included in the cost of the class. Payment is due in full to ensure your child’s spot in the class. Parents who pay for 4 or more classes will receive a $5 discount. If your child is enrolled in the YMCA you will receive an additional $5 discount. If for some reason you or your child are not satisfied with a particular class, you have until Friday, October 8, 2004 to receive a full refund.

Supervision

My assistant Tina Siegel and I will supervise your child daily. Morning Kindergarten students and their parents should meet us at the lunch pavilion at 2:30 p.m. Teachers will escort afternoon Kindergarten students to the pavilion. There they will receive a snack and wait to be picked up by their Enrichment teachers. All students enrolled in the YMCA will be picked up by Tina or myself before class and returned to the YMCA after their class has ended. Those students enrolled in 2 classes on any given day will be escorted from their first class to their second. All children must be picked up promptly after their class. It is Booster Club Policy to retain Kindergarteners who have not been picked up by the time class has ended. Your child will not be released to anyone without your written consent. Please fill out the “Permit to Release” form provided if you have made arrangements to have your child picked up by someone else. Additional forms will be available in the office throughout the semester for you convenience.
