WHAT: Cue Camp New England (CCNE) provides a fun and supportive learning environment for new cuers and those wishing to improve their cueing skills.

WHO: Families and professionals, adults and children. Instruction provided at all levels.

WHERE: Camp is held at New England Camp Cedarbrook nestled in 130 mostly wooded acres on the shores of Lake Bunganut in Lyman, Maine.

WHY: CCNE provides a relaxed and fun opportunity to develop your cueing skills, learn about the latest research on Cued Speech, and network with cuers from other towns, states, and countries.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Overnight campers will stay in cabins near the lake with a sink and toilet room. Shared restrooms and showers are in a separate building. Some cabins have electricity. Bring your own linens, pillows, blankets, fan, snacks and books for the kids.

MEALS

Campers will be served family-style meals Saturday breakfast through Tuesday breakfast (10 meals) in the dining hall. Please make note of special dietary requests.

Cueing Showcase

**Daily: Swimming/Boating, Cueing Recreation, Literacy Block, Speech/Language therapy for our deaf/hh campers

INSTRUCTION:

Children 0-2 will be cared for during class hours and will see language cued in natural interactions through play, games, and activities.

Children 3-5 will learn to cue through fun activities with other children of their age.

Children ~6 and up will also have systematic Cued Speech instruction in addition to exposure to cueing through fun activities around the island.

Teens will have the option to be a junior counselor, and/or participate various leadership activities.

Adult classes: Beginner, Beyond Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced/Transliterator training.

Registration fees for overnight campers include room/ board, instruction, special presentations, and evening activities. Commuter rates include instruction, meals, special presentations, and evening activities.
