Read to your child?Learning to read can be hard work for many children, so it is important to keep enjoying books together. Your child will also benefit from listening to books and stories that they cannot read themselves yet. This might include non-fiction books about things they are interested in or longer stories with more adventurous vocabulary.?Make sure that you continue to read with your child every night. Bedtime stories are such a special routine to have in place, so make the most of this time with your child. English:All About Me….This week, we are going to be thinking about moving into Year One! Can you make a poster like the one below about yourself and send it to us so that we are able to show your new teacher! What would you like them to know about you? Think about what kind of things you like and what your favourite things are. Lay them in front of you and sort them into heavy and light objects. Another thing you could do, choose 2 items from the 10 and pick them up. Which oneis heaviest? Which one is lightest?Challenge: Can you order the ten items from the lightest to the heaviest? Can you think of anything that might be lighter than all of the 10 objects? This seems such a long time ago now, so we are going to be creating new ones for the end of Recpetion.
