Oxford Youth Basketball Junior Boys RulesAll games will be conducted in accordance with the current National Federation High School Rules of the Game with the following modificationsTime: Each game will consist of four(4) 9 minute quarters running time. If after 4 quarters the game is tied, a 2 minute continuous clock period will be played. If after the overtime period the game is still tied, the game will be recorded as a tie. The clock will run continuously except in the following situations:Free throws have been awardedTimeoutInjuryDead ball in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter or the last minute of overtime Players: Each game will be played 4 on 4.Halftime: Halftime will be up to 3 minutes.Pressing: No full court press is permitted at any time. A team can start playing defense at half court.Fast Breaks: Fast breaks are permitted unless the breaking team is up by 15 or more points.Timeouts: Each team will receive 2 timeouts per half. These timeouts will be 1 minute in duration. Remaining time outs from the first half cannot be carried over to the second half. If the game goes into overtime, each team will get 1 timeout in the overtime period. Timeouts from regulation cannot be carried into overtime.3 Pointers: 3 points will be awarded if a player makes a shot from beyond the 3 point line. If the gym does not have a 3 point line, 3 points will not be awarded for any shot.Technical Fouls: 1st technical foul on a player: 2 shots and the ball will be awarded2nd technical foul (same game): 2 shots and the ball will be awarded and the fouling player is ejected and subject to the ejection rule below.Not enough players: If a team does not have 4 eligible players because of injury or player(s) having fouled out, the opposing coach will select which player will be allowed to re-enter the game. If the player that re-enters the game fouled out and commits another foul, a technical foul will be called, two shots and the ball will be awarded. A player ejected from a game is NEVER permitted to re-enter a game. Ejected coaches / players: Any coach or player ejected from a game by the referee will leave the gym area immediately and is automatically suspended from participating or attending any future games until such time as the board has reviewed the circumstances and has voted on a disciplinary action. Game Results: After each game, the head coach from each team will send an email to the Junior Boys League Director containing the following: Which team won the game (score is not necessary) The Junior Boys League Director will then send the agreed upon results to the website coordinator.Playing time: All players must play a minimum of 12 minutes per game. ................
