The three core activities of YDA are innovative and pioneering projects and programs for young people, think-tanks of leading thinkers, activities and young people to develop creative ideas and national Youth Commission inquiries on youth issues of national significance. YDA is a national charity with deductible gift recipient status.Youthworx Youthworx is overseen by YDA and is a youth media social enterprise that trains and employs young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in creative and commercial media production. Since commencing on the ground in 2008 with a supported partnership model Youthworx has established an ongoing accredited training program at certificate II and III in Creative Industries, developed a multi-faceted workshop program, run a number of large funded participatory media projects for marginalized young people and established a production company Youthworx Productions, that employs graduates of the training and delivers professional media services to a broad range of clients.2. POSITION OVERVIEW Production CoordinatorPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Production Coordinator is the main point of contact for clients and potential clients. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth running and day to day operations of Youthworx Productions. Responsibilities include client liaison, quoting for and scheduling jobs, budget management, staff rostering, briefing, overseeing and supporting the production team. The Production Coordinator role requires project management skills - forward thinking and planning, excellent organisational and time management skills. The Production Coordinator must possess the capacity to work with young people in a busy environment, and have a flexible approach to working across the organisation as needed.DUTIESLiaise with clients to ascertain project requirements and budgetFacilitate production meetings with external clients and contribute to decision making process.Co-ordinate the day to day operations of the productions service.Co-ordinate production team rosters and work load.Clarify and oversee staff requirements on projectsEnsure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budgetEvaluate projects undertaken and ascertain the level of client satisfaction.Raise the profile of YWX Productions in the communityActively seek project funding in cooperation with other staffWork with the Executive Manager to engage new business and salesGeneric Responsibilities of All Staff:To comply with all relevant Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and maintain safe working practices to protect your own and other’s health and safety.To abide by all the relevant Laws and Funding obligations relating to YDA including:- Privacy; Accreditation/Quality Improvement frameworks; Equal Opportunities, Discrimination, Bullying and Harassment; client rights charters.To uphold YDA’s Mission, Vision, and Organisational ply with reasonable and lawful instructions or requirements to undertake additional tasks, projects or responsibilities if it is safe and legal to do so and within the skills and competencies of the employee.Take active responsibility in liaison with the YWX Manager for attaining, maintaining or developing own learning, understanding and skills required for this position, including complying with any requirement to attend training courses that YDA may conduct or provide.Liaise with the YWX Manager to review and update this position description in line with changing business requirements, Business Plan, processes and organizational structure during each Performance Appraisal.4. POSITION PARAMETERSCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTEntitlements and conditions fall under the SCHADS award dependant on qualifications and experience.
