Fall Family Weekend Comes to Campus

The Cowboy Family will be getting a visit down Hester Street until the team

from its extended family this weekend.

reaches Boone Pickens Stadium.

Previously, we called this "Mom's Day" or "Dad's Day" ... but that created some confusion. So now, we're going under one umbrella: Family Weekend. Students can invite anyone who they call family ? even if they don't share a last name.

There will be plenty of events on campus, all culminating with the football game against University of Tulsa on Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. Discounted tickets to the game are available on Ticketmaster with promo code 21PARENTS.

In addition to the football game, the OSU Museum of Art will host its "Second Saturday" program. The museum offers free, hands-on art activities for visitors of all ages and abilities.

The museum will also host its Public Art Walk. Guides from the museum will take guests for a one-mile tour of OSU's art sculptures. Timing for that event is to be determined, but interested guests can visit museum.okstate.edu for more information.

Families can also enjoy GameDay at the Union, which has returned for the 2021 football season! Festivities outside the Union will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 10 a.m. Do not forget about the traditional Spirit Walk that begins at the Student Union at 9 a.m. and continues

Outdoor Adventure is also hosting a hike at Lake Carl Blackwell from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit rec.wellness.okstate.edu.

We are excited to welcome all the families and fans to campus!

UDS Serves Up New Additions

A new school year means changes to campus dining. During the summer University Dining Services made the most of its downtime to listen to its customers via surveys and informal discussions and added to its offerings. Guests can find

new menus at Red Earth Kitchen and Passport in the Student Union as well as at NoodleU and Zest at North Dining.

Bread and Beyond also diversified its menu, allowing diners to build their own salad with new, fresh ingredients such as roasted sweet potatoes, edamame, roasted Brussels sprouts and more.

We hope guests will explore these new options and provide UDS feedback so they can continue to expand selections. To find the latest information about dining, visit dining.okstate.edu or follow them on most social media platforms using the @osudining handle.

Esports Arena

Take notice, esports is booming around the world. Just like with anything else, Oklahoma State University is on the cutting edge. With the addition of the brand new OSU Esports Arena in the Student Union basement, guests have access to the best esports amenities in the Big 12. OSU's arena includes a Twitch station, 40 highpowered PCS NVIDIA 2080s, alienware peripherals, 240 and 144 hz monitors as well as RGB lighting and other features. Adam Barnes, SU assistant director of meeting and conference services, told STATE Magazine, "We're primed to be the Big 12 leader. There's nobody we know of that is as far along in terms of a dedicated esports arena -- not some computer lab out in the corner of campus somewhere, but a dedicated space."

Student Arts Alliance Kicks Off School Year

EVENTS CALENDAR SET FOR 2021-22

The OSU Student Arts Alliance is hosting fun, engaging and safe activities throughout the fall semester, with many of those events taking place in the Union.
