Re: Global Harmonization System (GHS)
From: David Dougherty, IPS, Global Director of EHS
To whom it may concern:
GHS is the Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. It was developed by an international group of experts under the auspices of the United Nations for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labeling of chemicals.
IPS products sold in the United States including all Weld-On and SciGrip products meet all Global Harmonization System requirements. IPS has met all GHS mandated requirements for safety data sheet (SDS) content and product labeling. OSHA has extended the sell through date of December 1, 2015 to manufacturers as well as distributors. There may be a few occasions where IPS products shipped prior to December 1 will not have a GHS label as allowed by the sell through provision. IPS is committed to ensuring that come December 1, 2015 all products shipped will be in full compliance with all GHS label requirements.
