MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers developed a paper-and-pencil test based on the theories of famous psychologist, Carl Jung. The 8 Psychological Type Preferences Extroverted (E) Extroverts prefer the external world of things, people and activities. Introverted (I) Introverts are people who prefer their internal world of thoughts, feelings fantasies, dreams and so on. Sensing (S) Getting information by means of the sense. A sensing person is good at looking and listening and generally getting to know the world. Prefers the immediate, real, solid facts of experience. Intuitive (N) Intuition is a kind of perception that works outside of the usual thinking processes, rather than simple seeing or hearing. Prefers the possibilities, meanings and relationships of experience. Thinking (T) Evaluating information or ideas rationally, logically and objectively. Analyzing facts, looking for cause and effect. Using your “brain” to make decisions. Feeling (F) Subjectively and personally weighing values for making choices for others and yourself. Using your “heart” to make decisions. Judging (J) More careful, perhaps inhibited, in their lives. Planned, orderly and seeks control. Perceiving (P) More spontaneous, sometimes careless.
