Good morning 6th grade! How are you today? I hope you all feel great. Now let’s study a little bit of English. Before we begin, Let’s write down the date as we are used to: Thursday, March 19th 2020It’s summer (still!)It’s hot and sunny!Today we will use the new vocabulary in context. In class one, we studied the concept of “multicultural” you had to read interesting stories of different people around the world and you had to express your opinion and share some ideas. Today we will put all those connections into practice. Ready? Here we go!Make a list with the new words you found in the readings, include the highlighted ones. In order to fully understand the meaning, create one sentence per word where you can clearly demonstrate the meaning of the words. E.g: “There are tons of different races in the world such as: black, white, Chinese, Africans, etc; and all of them are beautiful.” In this example you demonstrate that you know the meaning of the word “race” and you can use it in context. Do the same with each new word. Write them down in you copybook. It will take you a while to write all the new words down, so whenever you finish feel free to rest!Remember I told you that each of you have a small bag that comes with you every time you go to English class? And every time you leave the class that bag HAS to be filled with something new? Well… What are we putting in that bag today? We have to put something, so think: “How this activity helped me to a better understanding of the new vocabulary?” “Is this going to be helpful in the future?” yes, no, why? Think about those questions and then write down what you are taking with you in your bag today. (You can draw your own bag in you copybook)2104390128905306705012890500Remember you can always send me an email if you have doubts! Stay home, do what mommy says, study, read some books, watch movies with English subtitles, be creative!! I will see you soon. Love, Miss Poulette ................
