LET IT SNOW

CHRISTMAS MEDLEY 3

1. LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.

And since we’ve no place to go, Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

It doesn’t show signs of stopping and I brought some corn for popping,

The lights are turned way down low, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

When we finally kiss goodnight, how I’ll hate going out in the storm

But if you’ll really hold me tight, all the way home I’ll be warm.

The fire is slowly dying, and my dear, we’re still goodbye-ing

But as long as you love me so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

2. JOY TO THE WORLD

Joy to the World! The Lord has come. Let earth receive her King.

Let every heart prepare Him room,

And heav’n and nature sing, and heav’n and nature sing, and heav’n and heav’n and nature sing.

Joy to the World! The Savior reigns; Let men their songs employ;

While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains

Repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy, repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove

The glories of His righteousness, and

And wonders of His love, and wonders of His love, and wonders and wonders of His love.

3. O COME, ALL YE FAITHFUL

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem

Come and behold Him, born the King of angels:

O come, let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation, sing, all ye citizens of heav’n above

Glory to God in the highest:

O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

4. DECK THE HALLS

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la, la la la la.

‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparel, fa la la la la la, la la la.

Troll the ancient Yuletide carol, fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the blazing Yule before us, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Strike the harp and join the chorus, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Follow me in merry measure, fa la la la la la, la la la.

While I tell of Yuletide treasure, fa la la la la, la la la la.

5. HARK! THE HERALD ANGELS SING

Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King;

Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!”

Joyful, all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies;

With th’angelic host proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem!”

Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King!”

6. ANGELS WE HAVE HEARD ON HIGH

Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing o’er the plains.

And the mountains in reply, echoing their joyous strains.

Glo-ri-a in excelcis Deo, Glo-ri-a in excelcis Deo.

Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong?

What the gladsome tidings be, which inspire your heav’nly song?

Glo-ri-a in excelcis Deo, Glo-ri-a in excelcis Deo.

7. WINTER WONDERLAND

Sleighbells ring, are you list’nin? In the lane, snow is glist’nin,

A beautiful sight; we’re happy tonight Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird. Here to stay is a new bird.

He sings a love song as we go along Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman, then pretend that he is Parson Brown.

He’ll say “Are you married?” we’ll say “No, man.”

But you can do the job when you’re in town.

Later on, we’ll conspire, as we dream by the fire

To face unafraid the plans that we made Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland.

8. O LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM

O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars so by:

Yet in thy dark street shineth the everlasting Light;

The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.

For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all above,

While mortals sleep and angels keep their watch of wond’ring love.

O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth

And praises sing to God, the King, and peace to men on earth.

9. SILVER BELLS

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style,

In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas.

Childrn laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile,

And on ev’ry street corner you hear:

Silver bells, silver bells, it’s Christmas time in the city.

Ringaling, hear them ring, soon it will be Christmas day.

Strings of street lights, even stop lights, blink a bright red and green,

As the shoppers rush home with their treasures.

Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch, this is Santa’s big scene,

And above all this bustle you hear:

Silver bells, silver bells, it’s Christmas time in the city.

Ringaling, hear them ring, soon it will be Christmas day.

10. WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS

We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas,

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Good tidings to you wherever you are

Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year!

11. RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose

And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows

All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names,

They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say:

“Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee:

“Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, you’ll go down in history.”

12. FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul

With a corn cob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal.

Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say.

He was made of snow but the children know how he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found,

For when they placed it on his head he began to dance around.

Frost the snowman was alive as he could be

And the children say he could laugh and play just the same as you and me.

13. SILENT NIGHT

Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright,

Round yon virgin mother and child, holy infant so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night, shephers quake at the sight,

Glories stream from heaven afar, heavenly hosts sing Alleluia;

Christ the Savior is born! Christ the Savior is born!

14. THE CHRISTMAS SONG

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose,

Yuletide carols being sung by a choir and folds dressed up like Eskimos.

Ev’rybody knows a turkey and mistletoe help to make the season bright.

Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow, will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa’s on his way; he’s loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.

And ev’ry mother’s child is gonna spy to see if reindeer really know how to fly.

And so, I’m offering this simple phrase to kids from one to ninety-two.

Although it’s been said many times, many ways, “Merry Christmas to you.”

15. WHITE CHRISTMAS

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas just like the ones I used to know,

Where the treetops glisten, and children listen to hear sleighbells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas with every Christmas card I write,

May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be white.

16. JINGLE BELLS

Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh

O’er the fields we go laughing all the way.

The bells on bob-tails ring to make our spirits bright.

What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh.

A day or two ago I thought I’d take a ride,

And soon Miss Fannie Bright as seated by my side.

The horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his lot,

He got into a drifted bank, and we, we got upsot.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh.

17. I’LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

I’ll be home for Christmas, you can plan on me

Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree.

Christmas Eve will find me where the lovelight gleams.

I’ll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams.

18. JINGLE BELL ROCK

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock, jingle bell swing and jingle bells ring

Snowin’ and blowin’ up bushels of fun, now the jingle hop has begun.

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock, Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time.

Dancin’ and prancin’ in jingle bell square, in the frosty air.

What a bright time, it’s the right time to rock the night away.

Jingle bell time is a swell time to go glidin’ in a one-horse sleigh.

Giddy-up, jingle-horse, pick up your feet, jingle around the clock

Mix and a-mingle in a jinglin’ beat, that’s the jingle bell rock.

That’s the jingle bell rock.

19. IT CAME UPON THE MIDNIGHT CLEAR

It came upon the midnight clear, that glorious song of old,

From angels bending near the earth to touch their harps of gold.

Peace on the earth goodwill to men from heav’ns all gracious King,

The world in solemn stillness lay to hear the angels sing.

Still through the cloven skies they come with peaceful wings unfurled;

And still their heavenly music floats o’er all the weary world:

Above its sad and lowly plains they bend on hovering wing,

And ever o’er its Babel sounds the blessed angels sing.

For lo, the days are hastening on by prophet-bards foretold,

When, with the ever-circling years, comes round the age of gold:

When peace shall over all the earth its ancient splendors fling,

And the whole world give back the song which now the angels sing.

20. HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, let your heart be light,

From now on our troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, make the Yuletide gay,

From now on, our troubles will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore,

Faithful friends who are dear to us, gather near to us once more.

Through the years we all will be together, if the fates allow,

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough,

And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.

21. ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop

Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop.

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree, let the Christmas spirit ring.

Later we’ll have some punkin pie and we’ll do some caroling.

You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear

Voices singing “Let’s be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly.”

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree have a happy holiday

Everyone dancing merrily in the new old fashioned way.

22. THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

1. A partridge in a pear tree

2. Two turtle doves

3. Three French hens

4. Four calling birds

5. Five golden rings

6. Six geese a-laying

7. Seven swans a-swimming

8. Eight maids a-milking

9. Nine ladies dancing

10. Ten lords a-leaping

11. ‘Leven pipers piping

12. Twelve drummers drumming

23. SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

You better watch out, you better not cry, better not pout, I’m telling you why:

Santa Claus is coming to town.

He’s making a list and checking it twice, gonna find out who’s naughty and nice,

Santa Claus is coming to town.

He sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake,

He knows if you’re been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.

You better watch out, you better not cry, better not pout, I’m telling you why:

Santa Claus is coming to town.

24. I SAW MOMMY KISSING SANTA CLAUS

I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus, underneath the mistletoe last night

She didn’t see me creep down the stairs to have a peep,

She thought that I was tucked up in my bedroom fast asleep.

Then I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus, underneath his beard so snowy white;

Oh, what a laugh it would have been, if Daddy had only seen

Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night.
