To ensure a positive and productive learning environment during these sessions, it is important that all students adhere to the following behavioral expectations:Mute microphone upon entry. Avoid non-class-related dialogue in the chat. Always be respectful and courteous to other students and teachers during Google Meet virtual check-in sessions. Inappropriate, offensive, or threatening comments; misrepresentation of identity, and/or disruptive behavior by any participants during Google Meet virtual check-in sessions will not be tolerated.Students must use their PHHS email account to log into a Google Meet virtual session.Login credentials must not be shared. Sharing of login information violates other students’ and teachers’ rights to confidentiality and could allow class participation by unauthorized persons and/or lead to disruptive behaviors that detract from a productive and positive learning environment.Students who are disruptive and/or “trespass” Google Meet virtual sessions will receive appropriate consequences in accordance with the Code of Conduct. Consequences may result in temporary or permanent loss of technology access, which would prevent the student from participating in Google Meet virtual sessions. Late work will be accepted up to TWO CLASS PERIODS AFTER THE DESIGNATED DUE DATE FOR THE WORK. Extended time may be given due to extenuating circumstances such as major family illness, car accidents, etc. However, NO LATE WORK will be accepted one week prior to the end of the quarter. Students will receive credit for work as follows:Worked turned in on timeFull earned creditWork turned in one day late75% of earned creditWork turned in two days late50% of earned creditWork turned in three or more days late0% of earned creditAbsent work: Students are required to be in attendance during the scheduled class time. If your child is unable to attend the scheduled class time, in order to be marked present, they must complete the following:Student must attend at least one office hour for that teacher per week.Student is required to watch the recorded class instruction video and complete one additional assignment from the choice board provided for each class missed to provide proof of understanding the pre-recorded class instructional video. A student with an excused absence will be given the opportunity to make-up course work or in some cases may be given an alternative assignment. It is the STUDENT’S responsibility to set up a meeting with the teacher to see what they missed. The student will have as many days as they were absent to turn in the missing assignment(s).If absent work does not come in within the time frame NO CREDIT will be given.CheatingCheating is defined as copying from someone else’s paper, talking during testing, using notes without direct approval, getting an advance copy of any assignment, using someone else’s name on your assignment, using electronic resources (without permission) to locate answers and unpermitted group work are all examples flagrant violations of school policy. The first instance will result in a ZERO for that test/assignment for all parties involved and a conference with parent. ................
