INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

WINDOWS: Windows 10 or higher. Additionally, some add-ons might be necessary to run the platform in certain web browsers. Currently supported browsers are:

Recommended: Google Chrome ("Native Messaging Host" downloadable from the Chrome Store) Internet Explorer 7 or higher (ActiveX plug-in) Safari (NPAPI plug-in)

MAC OS: OS X 10.15 (Catalina) or higher. In this system, the platform is a native application accessible and installable from the Mac App Store, using the usual process.

iOS DEVICES: A 64-bit version of iOS is required. In this system, the platform is a native application accessible and installable from the App Store, using the usual process.

ANDROID DEVICES: Android 5.0 or higher. In this system, the platform is a native application accessible and installable from the Google Play Store, using the usual process.

We recommend an internet connection with download speed of 15 Mbps or more for a great virtual

STEP 1

W hether you have the Virtw ay Events app installed or not, you w ill alw ays have to start on STEP 1:

1. Connect your headphones to your computer

BEFORE starting the installation.

2. Click on the follow ing link (open in Chrome

brow ser):

nrc -npd-2021

Introduce the provided Login and Passw ord.

3 . Click on SIGN IN.

STEP 2

1. You w ill be requested to change

your passw ord.

2. Your new passw ord must:

length at least 8 characters be different from the login

STEP 3

If you already have the Virtway Events app installed, skip to STEP 4.

1. First you need to install some plugin to give you

access to the 3D virtual world.

2. Next, you will have to install the Virtway World

technology: Select CLICK TO INSTALL. When download is completed, choose RUN to install the app.

3. Once the installation is completed, the app icon

will appear in your task bar.... BUT, do not launch the app already!

4. Go to STEP 4.

STEP 4

To launch the application click into LAUNCH.

IMPORTANT REMARK! If you already have Virtw ay Events app, do not access through the icon in your task bar. The first access to the virtual w orld for the NRC & NPD 2021 should alw ays be done via the link provided on Step 1, and clicking into LAUNCH.

If you w ish, you can click into USER INSTRUCTIONS, and you w ill see a practical tutorial video on how to move and interact w ith your avatar.

STEP 5

1. Read and accept EULA (End User License

Agreement) in order to use the application Virtw ay Events.
