PowerPoints, Google Slides, Prezis, or other similar apps for PresentationsPresentations are not reports. Carefully choose the limited text you put on your slide for interest and readability. Pictures/graphics must be included and should be large enough to see. If a picture blurs, distorts or pixelates when enlarged, it is not the right picture to use and you will lose points. Limit your use of clip art—photos are more interesting. You may use photos that you take yourself; originality is always interesting.Presentations have:a title slide which includes the student name and class hour. 15 content slides (but, see specific assignment directions) related to the assignment topic. a works cited slide. This includes a citation for any graphics used that were not created by the student. Please note that 'google images' is not a citation. Presentations submitted as e-mail attachments or in other formats such as Keynotes will not be accepted. Presentations may be done on the iPad in Keynote but most will be too large (20 MB limit) to upload to Turnitin without using PowerPoint to convert it to a PDF. You must do this on a computer. Telling Keynote to send as a PDF does not compress it and it will still be too large to upload to Turnitin. If your presentation is too large to upload to Turnitin, follow the Mrs. Strube-created directions below. If you cannot figure out how to upload, it is not an excuse for late work. Ask a classmate, an upperclassmen, or see Mrs. Strube (on your own time). Mrs. Strube is here before school at 7:30am, in the Media Center, every day and stays until 3:30pm every day.Upload Process (using Dropbox to send to yourself)In Keynote, choose the send icon (a box with an up arrow)Select “Open in Another App” from the listChoose PowerPoint as the formatChoose “Save to Dropbox” from the list of appsNow on a computer, login to your dropbox account and download the presentationThen open it in PowerPoint and follow the same instructions as above to save it as a PDF and then upload it to 2nd Upload ProcessYou should be able to do a single file upload directly from your iPad to turnitin.
