Announcements for August 21, 2016#1) Child RegistrationRegister your kids for all the fall activities! For our second year, we are asking that parents register their kids for any and all church programs they will be participating in. Unlike in years past, and in order to simplify Pastor Dan’s quest for family information, we are also requesting that parents with high-schoolers register – this means that every family with kids ages zero through Senior High school sign up. You can go to the church’s website, click the “MINISTRIES” tab on the left, and then the “Children’s Registration Tab” at the bottom of the page. This is a huge help to the office, so we are very thankful for your cooperation!?#2) Fall Kickoff | September 11thIt's already that time of the year, time to kick off our fall programming. And as difficult conversations about homosexuality, abortion, and religious liberty continue to inject themselves into our workplaces, our churches, our schools, and our homes, Christians everywhere are asking the same question: HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO RESPOND TO ALL THIS?In Counter Culture, New York Times bestselling author David Platt shows Christians how to actively take a stand on the most pressing social issues of our day. Drawing on compelling personal accounts from around the world, Platt presents an unapologetic yet winsome call for Christians to faithfully follow Christ into the cultural battlefield in ways that will prove both costly and rewarding.Mondays @ 6:30am | HyVee (57th & Cliff)Tuesdays @ 12:00pm | Pappy’s (101 S Phillips Ave) New location!Wednesdays @ 12:00pm | Beef O’Brady’s (69th & Western)Saturdays @ 7:00am | Josiah’s Coffeehouse (101 S Reid St)??Dead Theologians Men’s GroupDeuteronomy—we return to take up the second half of the book of Deuteronomy.
