This program is based on the students needs and works at their level. It helps students sort through the English language at their own level. Writing – sentence structure is stressed with daily practice. Writing is incorporated in the form of articles, reports, blogging, journal and story writing. Reading – Selections are chosen from the leveled and A. R. books in the in the school library and classroom library. I use a variety of appropriate worksheets to check for understanding. We read orally, as a class, in pairs and in small groups. I read some selections aloud and we listen to corresponding audio recordings. Children are encouraged to take an active role in the Accelerated Reading Program.
