Application Highlights
Target Population: School-Age Children. Applicants must pre-qualify in the Grants Gateway Portal in order to submit applications in response to the RFP: License/State Registration: School-Age Child Care (SACC) registration required by contract date for nonprofit organizations serving youth under age 13. Anticipated Award Date: 9/1/2018. Contract Span: 4 years, to 8/31/2022. Award Amount: $1,600 per child. Initial awards shall not exceed $800,000 per applicant annually.
Millions of dollars will be granted by the OCFS and NYSED to qualified local nonprofits or school districts in New York state that wish to compete for funds to develop quality programs based on the Empire State After-School Program (ESAP) model. Applicants must offer a broad range of educational, recreational, cultural and age-appropriate activities in a safe environment. Winning programs will integrate what occurs during the school day with less-formal learning experiences, and encourage the active participation of children, youth and families in the design and delivery of program activities.
