Take Charge Fact Sheet

Take Charge is an organizational and leadership development firm founded in 1975. We serve clients in Federal, state and local government as well as private industry (primarily in sectors that include finance and insurance, biotech and pharma, communications and media, healthcare and aerospace/defense). We provide strategic planning, consulting, and leadership development solutions that enable individuals, teams and organizations to build rich relationships, reach peak performance and achieve extraordinary results. We have a long history as a federal contractor and GSA supply schedule holder.

Core Capabilities, Description of Services Offered and Key Clients

Leadership Development. Our development services unlock potential; we educate, inspire, and challenge all to make a difference. We are senior level experts who are adept facilitators and certified coaches with extensive education and experience in the leadership development realm. We utilize reflection and feedback as primary tools for change, promote transformative growth and development, and design interventions with end results in mind (services come complete with a measurement strategy to ensure not only implementation but difference-making back on the job). Services include:

• Executive and Leadership Coaching

• Leadership Development – provided in the classroom, virtually and blended - covering everything from emotional intelligence to strategic thinking to building high performance to partnering (and everything in between) targeted at levels from informal leader to executive leader

• Leadership assessments—including custom-designed 360s, extensive experience with the OPM Leadership 360 model, and a number of other commercially available leadership assessments

• Leadership transition services that ensure smooth and effective transitions into new assignments or leadership levels and significant organizational impact within 6 months.

Organizational Change and Development. Our change and strategy services enable clients to capture the future and create lasting change. We believe change occurs through relationships – up, down, across, and outside of the organization – and help clients build the kinds of relationships from which great things spring—ideas, commitment, and action. In addition, we promote transformative change and positive deviance; we enable people and organizations to stand outside the norm in order to make a difference and create profound and powerful change. Finally, we help clients achieve significant organizational transformation with minimal disruption to current system(s) and without the extensive study associated with many organizational change efforts. Services include:

• Design and facilitation of strategic planning sessions, business planning sessions that enable organizations to respond to significant changes and/or capture opportunities, and large scale planning sessions (WholeScale™ Change) that engage large groups in the planning process

• Change management - Creation of organizational change and development plans

• Organizational and leadership diagnosis

• Management and business process redesign

• Talent development
