We especially welcome research on unexplored ideas that may lead to new directions in a field . The Rowland Fellowship provides laboratory space, funding for equipment, personnel, and general operations. Staff scientists and engineers work with the Rowland Fellows to design and fabricate new experiments. The base stipend for the Rowland Junior Fellows is $71,000 per annum with increases based on completed years of experience beyond the Ph.D.The Fellowship is an excellent springboard for young scientists because they can establish and build on their own research. We encourage the pursuit of new ideas and we provide a flexible environment that enables changes in research direction as new ideas develop.Rowland Junior Fellows have launched successful careers in academia, industry and government service. Several former fellows have joined the Harvard faculty-Profs . Ben de Bivort, David Cox, and Wesley Wong . Most recently, Dr . Alvaro Sanchez, joined the Yale faculty and Dr. Claire S.J.
