Blanchstock 2020Every year the school community joins together for Blanchstock, as you are aware, this has been a difficult and different year and so we would like you all to contribute to our online end of year celebration. The event will take place in July 2020 and It will be streamed on our youtube channel and a link will be sent out nearer to the event. What can I send? You can perform a song, dance, a monologue, or, if you are in years 11 or 13 you could record a shout out for your friends, staff or share your end of year message with the school community. If you have a piece of artwork that you have done that you would like to share, you can send that too as we will create an exhibition as part of the show. Please note that in dances or songs, lyrics with swear words or inappropriate content will not be allowed and so you should choose your rep carefully!FilmingYour contribution can be filmed on your mobile, tablet or computer, the only thing that we ask is that you record in landscape mode and in no higher quality than 1080p.Backing TracksIf you are going to be performing a song, please use a track without a vocal line so that we can hear your voice, tracks that have backing vocals are ok. Also, try and use the best quality backing that your can, all of the major streaming services have access to karaoke backing tracks which tend to be of a much higher quality than youtube. After all, we want to showcase your very best performanceDress CodeYou may wear PE kit or dance wear (t shirts & leggings but not cropped), or in Years 11 and 13 you may wear your own clothes (no shorts or cropped tops). All outfits will be checked by Miss Doyle before broadcast.Do I need permission to take part?Yes, before you can send in your submission, you must make sure that your parent / guardian has completed the consent form attached to this document.Submitting your performanceOnce you have recorded your performance, use the following link to upload your video.
