2020 PGA TOUR – The CUT #28 (Workday Charity Open)Cold OpenHOVLAND: – Have some good memories from last year. I really like the course. I'm a big fan of Donald Ross. Just kinda old school. DECHAMBEAU – We just have to adapt. It's about who can adapt the best out here especially in these challenging times. I feel like the PGA TOUR is doing a great job of adapting as well as all its players. We're all doing our part and I think its no different on the golf course. LASHLEY – Excited to be back here in Detroit at Detroit Golf Club and get out and play some golf this week and hopefully play well. SIMPSON: – Rickie and I we decided yesterday that we're just going to follow Nate around. Whatever he hits, we're going to hit because he shot 25 under last year hopefully he can go first and we'll just copy what he does. The CUT TitlesWELCOME TO PGA TOUR THE CUTBunker Down Week 4 SetupANNC: We welcome you to Detroit Golf Club. THIS IS BUNKER DOWN.?Brendon Todd Bunker DownTODD NATS - "Just starting my pre-round warmup here first off just starting with some foam rolling." TODD NATS - "during COVID right now with limited space, limited trailers at the golf course, we're just gonna get it done in here and be ready to go when we get out to the golf course." TODD NATS - "essentially what you're doing is training yourself to just put a couple extra percent in everyday, and I think that extra couple percent makes you a little better." TODD NATS - "And that's the warmup, I feel ready to go." TODD SOT "Thanks. I'm going to get on property, check out the golf course and start a new week, and looking forward to another good week here TODD SOT - Last week was a big confidence builder really cause I came out and I hit the ball so well for three days that I still didn't have to putt that good and Sunday I was only one shot behind Dustin on the 12th hole ANNC – "Uh oh." "Oh my goodness." TODD SOT - and then one little miscue and I've ended my chances of winning the golf tournament. it was a huge letdown, because I feel like the confidence that I gained and the experience that I gained in the fall should have translated to a really good Sunday, and to have it not really happen or repeat itself// was pretty crushing, but I get to live on another week try to get into contention and write a new story." TODD NATS - "How you doin?" "Good, how are you today?" "Good, thanks." "Beautiful day." "It is awesome." TODD NATS - "I'd say the range routine hasn't changed much over the last year as I've stayed pretty steady. TODD NATS - "you're always kind of making adjustments week to week, because this game is very cyclical, very up and down, every week you need to recalibrate to get them back to, what's my stock shot, what is normal, so that then you can go attack that week TODD NATS - "Need another one, that was a little high on the face. Got the shape right.”TODD SOT - there's going to be a premium on hitting fairways, and having really, really good wedge trajectory and distance control, because you're going to have to kind of fit these wedge shots into the different sections of the greens." TODD NATS - "It's all about comfort, if you don't feel comfortable with that tee shot." "No I really like the look of that tee shot actually." TODD SOT - "my swing felt really good today, so feeling really good about my chances if I put the ball in the fairway and get the putter going this week." TODD NATS - "That was ideal, hit that so nice." TODD SOT – "it's difficult to be away from my family so much as we all are, but to use facetime or zoom or whatever you have to use to talk to the family and see those smiling faces back home is really special." TODD NATS – "Dad, at the pool I made some new friends!" "At the pool you made some new friends? Did you go to the neighborhood pool?" "Yes." TODD SOT - "it's by far the best position I've ever been in the FedExCup, best chance I have to win the title, so kind of using each week to prepare for those last couple events and so I'm just excited to have the opportunityNate Lashley Bunker DownNATE LASHLEY EARNED HIS FIRST CAREER PGA TOUR VICTORY AT LAST YEAR'S ROCKET MORTGAGE CLASSIC AS THE LAST ALTERNATE ANNC: Nate Lashley... We don't eat, we can get real cranky. It's not good for anybody. Lashley: Yeah when the tournament doesn't have great food, Ricky likes to complain a lot. (All laugh) LASHLEY'S PRE-TOURNAMENT FESTIVITIES ALSO INCLUDED A TRIP TO THE ROCKET HQ IN DOWNTOWN DETROIT. Lashley: We shoulda had him carry the bag the whole time, that would have been funny. I wish I would have worked out with him more and was focused like he was I thought it was like big fun, big fun and games out here. But he didn't see it that way, he saw where he was going and what he was doing. And I wish I would have followed that took it a lot more serious may have had more success.”WITT SOT: "At least you know now." PEREZ SOT: 'Yeah, which is why I work really hard now. Not only do I have to keep the??longevity going, so I actually do wanna play till I'm about 55. So I have 11 more years, and I really wanna be kind of competitive. And then you know, by that time my daughter be 12. So it'd be nice for me to kind of, you know, take a knee and raise her all the way through, you know, to get her to college, and that kind of stuff.
