But this type of Summer Slide is very different. The summer slide refers to a decline in reading and math that can occur during the summer weeks when school isn’t in session.How to Prevent the Summer Slide?Preventing the summer slide is a very simple thing to do. In order to prevent your student from taking a dip in their achievement, keep the learning going. This isn’t a heavy requirement of the part of the parent.
