EMHSCA WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT –Events Calendar 2018

LCCPW

The Leader’s Collaborative Care Planning Workshop is a collaborative training exercise for all managers and team leaders of EMR services who want to more effectively support an inter and intra-service approach to care planning with their staff. It is designed to inform leaders regarding the EMHSCA shared care protocol and explore challenges whilst generating solutions.

EMHSCA partners NDIS Forum: NDIS unpacked

The NDIS has commenced rolling out in the east and health and community service providers are seeking clarity about their role in supporting people to access the scheme.

This forum aims to provide up to date information about each part of the NDIS process with cases to support each step. A key focus will be on how to collaborate in an NDIS environment.

AUGUST

EMR Orientation

This is a full day of Orientation for all new, recently employed, and interested staff of the Adult, Youth, & Aged Mental Health programs, Mental Health Community Support services, Community health, Housing and Homelessness, Family Services, AOD services, DHHS, Federal DHS, Local Council and Primary care service providers. Sectoral overviews, a Lunchtime Market place and afternoon workshops are provided.

MH & Co-occurring Issues Explored

This workshop is intended to provide participants with information and skills to assist them in their work with the complexity of care planning. Participants will gain an improved understanding of how to approach and work with Co-occurring disorders that may accompany mental health issues, thus enhancing their confidence and service delivery.

NOVEMBER

NOTE: All events are intended to target workers from Mental Health, AOD, Family Services, Homelessness/Housing, Community Health, Primary care, PIR, Medicare Locals, Centrelink, DHS, Local council, etc…

Cross sectoral conversations are encouraged.

The common thread is provision of services to people with mental health issues.

All events are free of charge to participants.
