Word Scrabble

|Appropriate Grade Level: K-5th |

|Procedures/Steps: |

|Give students a set of letters that can combine to form words that are related to the lesson. |

|Give clues that can better help the students find the target word. |

|Gradually, give clues that will make a more complex word by the letters that are given. |

|A “secret word” can be the final word that can be made up of all the letters that are given out. The secret word can be something |

|that relates to the lesson, or is used as a theme to the next weeks word scrabble. |

|-Having students work in pairs may help thought processes. |
