Dear Colleagues,?Starting in mid-October, the Office of Student Enrollment will deliver printed copies of the?2021 NYC High School and Specialized High Schools Admissions Guide?to schools that serve 8th grade across the city.?What you need to know:Timeline:?These deliveries will begin in mid-October and will take place over the course of three to four weeks. This means that the delivery of printed directories to your school might be in late October or early November. In previous years, these deliveries took place in May and June.Recipients:?Public schools (including charter schools) will receive a copy of the admissions guide in English for each of their current 8th?grade students, and will receive translated guides for those 8th?grade students whose home language (according to ATS) is one of the nine DOE languages.?Some private and parochial schools will also receive printed admissions guides; these are private and parochial schools that have received printed directories in the past as well as those who have requested to receive printed guides. Like past years, printed guides will not be delivered to schools for their current 9th grade students.Distribution:?After your school receives its delivery of printed guides, please work out a safe plan for distributing them to your 8th grade families.
