This session is intended to assist new EMIS Coordinators in understanding the EMIS process, its impact on funding, compliance and the Local report card. Topics will include, but not limited to: weighted funding (FD & GE alignment), Graduation reporting (FN & FS tips), ODDEX (your best friend) and data accountability/integritySusan Payne?is a part of the EMIS Team at META-Marion, where she is acting as EMIS Coordinator for several community schools for the past 3 ? years. At ODE, she provides quality assurance, technical assistance, and policy-related guidance on staff data in EMIS and educator licensure data in CORE, for districts and other stakeholders.OAEP Scholarships, Meeting and Legislative Updates~ Tuesday, May 7, 2019 ~ODE EMIS Advisory Committee PresentationIn the fall of 2018, the Ohio EMIS Advisory Council was created in Ohio law to provide a forum for communication and collaboration between the Ohio Department of Education and parties affected by the collection, reporting, and use of the EMIS system’s data. The council has met several times and four work groups also met several times to discuss the various topics associated with EMIS. Marianne Mottley will provide attendees with information on the topics of discussion and the progress of the council in developing its first report.Marianne Mottley began her career more than 30 years ago as a legislative aide in the Ohio Senate. During her 18 year tenure in the legislature, she served three state senators, all of whom were policy leaders in the education arena. More than 12 years ago, Marianne transitioned to the Office of Accountability at the Ohio Department of Education, serving first as a policy aide, then as assistant director and then as director.
