|Dear Parent or Guardian: | | |

Thank you for all you do to support your child's education. We want to provide you with important information about the monitoring of your child's academic progress in the area of reading and/or mathematics for the 2020-2021 school year.

Based on this quarter's assessment data in the areas of reading and math, any child that has been identified as not meeting reading or math grade-level expected proficiency has been placed on a Progress Monitoring Plan (PMP). The PMP has been developed by your child's teacher in the areas below. It is designed to document the intervention assistance that will be provided to your child focusing on grade-level skills and concepts.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s English, Reading, Algebra 1, and/or Geometry teacher.

We encourage you to schedule time to visit your child's teacher(s) to further discuss the identified needs as well as the plan to address his/her deficiencies. Your child's teacher will also share strategies you can use to support your child at home. If your child has a reading deficiency, he/she will receive a Read-at-Home Plan, which includes reading and multisensory strategies. Our goal is to work collaboratively to ensure your child reaches his/her full academic potential.
